- Tips For Improving The Accuracy of Your Luxury Watch
Exquisite Jewelers Miami
Luxury watches are a symbol of prestige and success. Everyone who owns a a luxury watch should treat it as a treasured possession. However, as time goes by, you may find that your watch is not as accurate as it used to be. It starts losing or gaining time, which can mean unreliability. Here in this article, we'll share some informative tips on how to improve the accuracy of you watch.
Wear Your Watch Regularly
Wearing and using your watch ensures that it runs in excellent condition. By doing this, you'll ensure that lubricants in the movements are constantly flowing. If not used regularly, the lubricants may harden, creating friction in the movements. As time goes by, the friction may cause the watch to work slower and eventually cause damages in the movement. If you don't regularly wear your watch, then it's recommended to wind it at least once a week. It keeps the gears moving and thus preventing the hardening of lubricants.
Wind Your Watch (Self Winding Luxury Watches)
Many luxury watches are self-winding. This means that if you wear them, they're powered by your wrist movement. By moving your wrist, you facilitate the rotor to wind the watch. On average, self winding watches have a 48-hour power reserve. If the watch is not wound after 48 hours, it may stop running and appear dead. It's not a big problem, and you can wind it manually to make it run again. The winding process is not complicated. You just need to locate the crown (the knob at the 3 o'clock position), unscrew it, and wind it counterclockwise 30-40 times. After doing this, screw the crown back down. Here are some things you should keep in mind when winding your watch.
Take Your Watch For a Maintenance Service
